Final Fantasy
Hello Everyone!
I hope your holidays went well and you got some R&R time in! It’s good to be back with Music Mondays and this week I have Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy is the stage name of Owen Pallett, a Toronto based singer, violinist and composer. And yes – he takes his name from the game Final Fantasy.
Owen Pallett has 3 albums: Has a good home (2005), He Poos Clouds (2006) and Heartland (2010).
Owen is very open about his sexual identity, stating that “”As far as whether the music I make is gay or queer, yeah, it comes from the fact that I’m gay, but that doesn’t mean I’m making music about the sexuality specifically”.
Final Fantasy will be playing in Kingston on February 17, 2010 at the Sydenham United Church if you want to catch him live. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a link to his song Lewis Takes Action.
