Music Mondays: Gentleman Reg

Gentleman Reg

Gentleman Reg

Hello!

This week I’ve got a well known, openly gay, Canadian indie rock singer/songwriter…Gentleman Reg!

Born a stone’s throw away in Trenton, ON, Gentleman Reg now resides in Guelph, ON. He plays quite frequently in Kingston and was just here recently sharing the Grad Club with The Hidden Cameras.

Songs by Gentleman Reg have been on the soundtracks for Wilby Wonderful, Shortbus and Queer as Folk to name a few.

Jet Black, his most recent album, was released on February 24, 2009 – I’ll leave you with We’re in a Thunderstorm.

Over and Out,
Charlie

He seems like a nice guy, from the one time I met him. I liked his live performance on that occasion, which was, oh, 5 years ago or so, I think. Much as I feel about Ember Swift, I like him live, but the records generally don’t do much for me.
